I grew up in Eindhoven (Woensel) and had a lovely childhood growing up, surrounded by family and warmth. The seed for yoga came from my aunt, who is also a yoga teacher. From that moment yoga drew my attention, but I didn’t do anything with it. I studied and started working in the financial sector. In 2005 I went to Surinam, where I did yoga every week. When I came back to Holland, I decided to get some yoga classes. I did hatha for 10 years.
In 2013 I was instructed in Transcendental Meditation (TM). I learned TM from Narada Kush. In 2014 I quit my job in the financial sector. It felt like a struggle and I didn’t want that anymore. I was searching for more purity and I found that in yoga and meditation. In 2015 a friend told me she was going to India to study yoga. So I decided to join her on this journey.
Back in Holland I wanted to teach yoga to others. From that moment Sanjivani was born. Yoga has strengthened me in following my dreams. It’s a gift to teach yoga to others and I really love the group energy in the classes. Yoga makes everyone equal. Everyone needs yoga for his continuous journey of the self. Many people regain their strength back.
I feel happy to teach yoga with heart and soul.
